Kōtuitui is a growing neighbourhood of architecturally designed two and three bedroom homes in downtown Manukau City.
Kōtuitui is a Māori word meaning ‘interlink’ and was specifically selected as the name of the Barrowcliffe Place housing development with support from Te Ākitai Waiohua. In essence, kōtuitui represents the connections that are being created and anchored through the development and will continue into the future.
The name of the overall project is Kōtuitui Place in recognition of the site as a liveable ‘place’ within the wider community. This title also acknowledges the pre-development address as a part of Barrowcliffe Place. For the future residents, homeowners and community yet to be established at Kōtuitui Place, the various connections are represented at different levels in the past, present and future.
Both Stage 1 and Stage 2 have sold out. Construction for Stage 1 commenced in early 2020 and each buyer was able to move into their new home by November that year. Stage 2 is currently under construction and residents will be able to join the Kōtuitui community later this year.
